The Gemini is a great smartphone for various reasons. I'm using it myself and love it!
1. It has a KEYBOARD! While it could surely be made better, it's already A LOT better than having to use a touchscreen for typing!
2. It's robust! I have to admit, I'm always being rough to my smartphones. I had to replace the screen on my last one three times - because it often falls on the ground... thanks to the clamshell design, the Gemini is robust like hell. It even fell onto a stone floor from about 2m height - and nothing happened.
3. Long battery time: While even some better smartphones I had used usually have an empty battery after 16 - 22 hours, the Gemini easily survives two full days (with normal usage). Also, the battery can be replaced if it wears out.
4. It's well-thought through: My first fear was that using it as a phone would be uncomfortable - but it isn't. When you receive a phone call, you don't need to open the Gemini. Simply press one button on the outside of the shell and put it to your ear like any other smartphone as well - that's it. Perfect!
While Android is still the best OS if you plan to use it as a phone, you can do a multiboot with various other OS (Debian Linux, Android, Sailfish OS), a full tactile keyboard with german layout, a 5,7" High-Res touchscreen LCD as well as Wifi, 4G and an SD Card slot.
Besides the normal SIM Card slot, it already supports eSIM as well - so you can use it with two numbers / contracts at the same time.
A fast Deca-Core ARM CPU gives enough power for almost everything you'd like to work on-the-go.
